DishRoam International Recipes
Benas Sinevičius, operating under the developer name BSIN ("we", "us"), is responsible for the data handling described in this policy. Contact: bsinevicius2@gmail.com.
1. Data on your device
The app stores the information needed for the features you use in its private device storage:
- Favorite recipes, personal collection names and the recipes in those collections.
- Shopping list ingredients, recipe names and checked items; planned meals and their dates.
- Cooking progress, checked ingredients, timer deadlines and recently opened recipes.
- Your recipe notes, personal ratings, cooking history and reduced-motion preference.
These records support your library and cooking tools. The standard preview does not transmit them to us or advertisers. Search terms and ingredient filters are used locally and kept in page memory, not sent to a search service. Your operating system and chosen keyboard have their own privacy practices.
There is no configured external analytics or crash-reporting service in the standard preview. Device or app-store diagnostic reporting you enable separately is governed by that provider's settings.
2. Permissions and timers
On Android, optional notification and alarm permissions support cooking timer alerts. The app may use vibration and restore an active timer after a device restart. If you decline the necessary permissions, background alerts may be unavailable; foreground cooking remains available.
The current app does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts or precise device location. Internet and network-state permissions support optional test advertising and future online features; a permission alone does not mean your saved recipes are uploaded.
3. Advertising: test builds and planned releases
The standard 0.27.0 preview does not include an advertising SDK. Advertising-enabled 0.28.0 builds use Google AdMob. A build configured for live ads uses the app's own ad units on physical devices; test builds and emulators use test ad units. Test ads can still involve network requests and data processing.
In an advertising-enabled build, Google's Mobile Ads SDK may process IP addresses (including approximate location derived from IP), advertising or other applicable device identifiers, ad and app interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. Google uses SDK data for ad delivery and measurement, analytics and fraud prevention, as described in its Mobile Ads data disclosure and Privacy Policy. Your local recipe notes and shopping lists are not provided to the SDK by us.
Banners may appear in library or country browsing areas and after the ingredients on a recipe page. There are no ad placements in step-by-step cooking or timer views. An optional rewarded video for one selected country's 24-hour access is planned but is not enabled yet. A future full-library purchase will not remove all advertising.
Advertising-enabled 0.28.0 builds use Google's User Messaging Platform to request any consent required for your region before ad requests are allowed. Where required, the app's Settings page provides Ad privacy choices to revisit your decision. A failed consent setup does not block offline cooking. Declining personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent all advertising-related data processing. Android also provides advertising-ID controls in device settings. Advertising-disabled builds do not display an ad consent form.
4. Planned purchases and country access
The current preview cannot take payments. A future optional one-time Google Play purchase is planned to unlock the full country library. Google Play would handle payment details; we would not receive your full payment card number.
Purchase verification and country-access services are not deployed for customers. Their exact receipt, identifier, access-record and retention practices will be added here before activation. This policy does not describe an operating account, cloud-sync or purchase-verification service.
5. Support and disclosure
If you email us, we receive your email address and any name, message or attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, troubleshoot and handle privacy requests. Please send only information needed for your request, not passwords or payment card details. Email is processed through our email provider, Gmail; see Google's Privacy Policy.
The app's Export my saved data command creates a local file and opens your device's sharing tools. Nothing is automatically emailed to us. The destination you select receives the file under its own terms and privacy practices.
We do not sell your locally saved cooking data. Information you send us may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. Service providers handle information needed to deliver the services described here; there is no automatic upload of your local library to our own server.
6. Retention and deletion
Your saved library stays on the device until you change it, clear the app's storage through Android settings or uninstall the app. A local recovery copy may exist if a saved file is damaged. Timer records are removed on cancellation; older expired records are cleaned up when another timer starts. Clearing app storage removes app-private records and resets your saved progress.
Uninstalling does not remove files you exported elsewhere or copies held by another service. Remove those at the destination. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete records that remain only on your device.
Support correspondence is retained while needed to resolve your request, maintain necessary support records or meet legal obligations, then deleted when no longer needed. Provider-held data follows the relevant provider's retention rules. Contact us to request deletion of information you sent us.
7. Legal grounds and your rights
Where European or similar data-protection rules apply, requested app functions are provided to perform our agreement with you. We rely on legitimate interests to respond to support requests and protect our services, and on legal obligations where applicable. Consent will be used for advertising storage or processing where required before live ads are introduced.
Depending on your location and the processing involved, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it, without affecting earlier lawful processing. You may complain to your local data-protection authority. These rights have conditions and exceptions; see the European Data Protection Board's guidance.
To make a request, email the contact below. We may ask for proportionate information to verify that the request concerns your data. Do not send an identity document unless we explain why it is necessary. We do not make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about users.
8. Security, international processing and children
Local records use the app's private storage area; this is not a promise that all files are encrypted. Protect your device and exported files. No device or service can guarantee absolute security.
Google and GitHub may process information in countries other than yours. Their policies explain applicable international-transfer arrangements and safeguards. Local cooking records are not transferred internationally by the standard preview itself.
The current preview has no child accounts or child-specific data collection features. Do not include a child's personal information in support messages. If you believe such information has been provided to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate. Audience and advertising settings will be reviewed before a public advertising-enabled release.

We will keep this page updated as the app changes and revise the date at the top. If a change introduces new processing requiring notice or consent, that will be addressed before the new processing begins. This page is a privacy notice, not consent to advertising or an instruction to make a purchase.
